Behind every number is a story, and we want to hear yours!
Are you between 8 and 18 years old? StatCan is looking for writers, photographers, videographers and multimedia artists to participate in the contest My story in numbers! As young Canadians, you all have unique stories to tell about yourself, your family, community, region, province, territory or Canada. We want to hear your story—in the artistic format of your choice—to show our country through the lens of statistics and, more importantly, through the eyes of our Canadian youth!
Submit your story before November 22, 2017, 11:59 p.m., Pacific time, for a chance to win cool prizes — courtesy of the Statistical Society of Canada:
1st place → $1,000
2nd place → $500
3rd place → $250
The three winners will also receive a promotional basket of Canada 150 items, courtesy of Canadian Heritage.
